Acceso Abierto Authoring Tool for Location-Aware Experiences(2015) Alconada Verzini, Federico M.; Tonelli, Juan Ignacio; Challiol, Cecilia; Lliteras, Alejandra Beatriz; Gordillo, Silvia EthelIn this paper, we present an approach to create location-aware experiences. We use the concept of separation of concerns to represent the content layer and the location layer. This separation allows reusing the layers independently one of each other. The focus of this paper is to provide an end-user tool to create location-aware applications in-situ. By using our tool, the location-aware experiences can be defined in both indoor and outdoor spaces. We present an example of how our tool is used and we describe some discussion points that have occurred to us while defining a tool with these characteristics. - Documento de conferencia

For example, how to reuse locations in different experiences or how to design from scratch in places without any location sensing mechanisms. In addition, we describe some features in which we are working on. Acceso Abierto Combing Location-Aware Applications with in-situ Actors Performances(2015) Alconada Verzini, Federico M.; Tonelli, Juan Ignacio; Challiol, Cecilia; Lliteras, Alejandra Beatriz; Gordillo, Silvia EthelIn this paper we present a model to define location-aware experiences having its different aspects (contents, location, etc) decoupled one from another. We have created an application following this model, which is also combined with actors’ performances. This application defines three relevant locations inside a specific building. By reading a QR-code the user indicates that he/she has arrived at one of those locations. In that moment, the application triggers some questions related to the actors’ performances. Hence, the user is required to see all the plays in order to be able to answer such questions. The application assists the user in moving throughout the different locations. We present the evaluation of this application and then we discuss interesting aspects that have shown up as a result of the in-situ evaluation of this application. - Documento de conferencia
Acceso Abierto Desarrollo multiplataforma de aplicaciones móviles combinadas con el uso de beacons(2018) Borrelli, Franco M.; Brost, Pedro; Challiol, Cecilia; Orellano, Diego; Mendibru, Facundo I.; Santoleri, Matías A.; Alconada Verzini, Federico M.En este trabajo se presenta la exploración de dos APIs de beacons existentes, una para PhoneGap y otra para React Native. Para esta exploración, se desarrollaron dos aplicaciones móviles, una en PhoneGap y otra en React Native; las cuales usan estas APIs para detectar la proximidad a los beacons, al entrar en la proximidad de un beacon, se brinda en pantalla la información del mismo. Se detallan distintas características de estas aplicaciones desarrolladas, haciendo hincapié en el análisis comparativo de estos desarrollos respecto a lo que provee cada API. Además, el trabajo presenta un espacio de discusión para analizar las lecciones aprendidas en la exploración realizada, en pos de contribuir a la temática relacionada al desarrollo de tipo de aplicaciones.
