The paper analyzes the processes involved in the design and development of new products, in different business scales, according on the approach it offers the prospect of industrial design, marketing and engineering, by describing the methodologies proposed by different authors. From the conclusions reached in the analysis of a number of cases, a methodology that integrates formulated sequences of steps comprising the process of product development and which links the tools proposed by the mentioned disciplines to accomplish the expectations of their field.
