Acceso Abierto Computer Science & Technology Series(Editorial de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata (EDULP), 2015) Feierherd, Guillermo Eugenio; Pesado, Patricia Mabel; Spositto, Osvaldo MarioCACIC’14 was the twentieth Congress in the CACIC series. It was organized by the Department of Engineering and Technological Research at the La Matanza National University in La Matanza, Buenos Aires. The Congress included 13 Workshops with 135 accepted papers, 3 Conferences, 3 technical panels, 2 invited tutorials, different meetings related with Computer Science Education (Professors, PhD students, Curricula) and an International School with 6 courses. CACIC 2014 was organized following the traditional Congress format, with 13 Workshops covering a diversity of dimensions of Computer Science Research. Each topic was supervised by a committee of 3-5 chairs of different Universities. The call for papers attracted a total of 230 submissions. An average of 2.5 review reports were collected for each paper, for a grand total of 594 review reports that involved about 206 different reviewers. A total of 135 full papers, involving 445 authors and 78 Universities, were accepted and 24 of them were selected for this book. - Libro

It was organized by the School of Technology at the UNNOBA (North-West of Buenos Aires National University) in Junín, Buenos Aires. The Congress included 13 Workshops with 131 accepted papers, 4 Conferences, 2 invited tutorials, different meetings related with Computer Science Education (Professors, PhD students, Curricula) and an International School with 6 courses. CACIC 2015 was organized following the traditional Congress format, with 13 Workshops covering a diversity of dimensions of Computer Science Research. Each topic was supervised by a committee of 3-5 chairs of different Universities. The call for papers attracted a total of 202 submissions. An average of 2.5 review reports werecollected for each paper, for a grand total of 495 review reports that involved about 191 different reviewers. A total of 131 full papers, involving 404 authors and 75 Universities, were accepted and 24 of them were selected for this book. - Libro

The Congress included 13 Workshops with 136 accepted papers, 2 Conferences, 2 invited Tutorials, different meetings related with Computer Science Education (Professors, PhD students, Curricula) and an International School with 6 courses. CACIC 2016 was organized following the traditional Congress format, with 13 Workshops covering a diversity of dimensions of Computer Science Research. Each topic was supervised by a committee of 3-5 chairs of different Universities. The call for papers attracted a total of 185 submissions. An average of 2.5 review reports were collected for each paper, for a grand total of 462 review reports that involved about 176 different reviewers. Acceso Abierto Instrumentos y acciones para la formación de profesionales de calidad con responsabilidad y compromiso social(Editorial de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata (EDULP), 2017) Naiouf, Marcelo; Boracchia, Marcos; Rucci, Enzo; Barranquero, M. F.; Aquino, G.; De Giusti, Armando EduardoEl objetivo primario de la Facultad es la formación de egresados de máxima calidad en todas las carreras que imparte. En ese sentido, la Facultad ha implementado a lo largo del tiempo una serie de políticas, herramientas y acciones en las instancias de ingreso, permanencia y egreso que buscan colaborar con este objetivo. En este documento se resume el conjunto de estrategias y medidas tomadas y se detallan algunos de los resultados obtenidos. El documento se organiza en tres secciones. El resto de esta primera sección se completa con una breve reseña de la historia de la Facultad seguida de una descripción de las carreras de grado que se dictan actualmente. La segunda sección detalla los instrumentos y acciones llevados a cabo por Facultad para promover trayectorias de calidad brindando acompañamiento a los alumnos desde el ingreso hasta su graduación. Por último, la tercera sección presenta algunas reflexiones finales. El primer antecedente de la disciplina informática en la UNLP se remonta al año 1966 cuando se creó la carrera de Calculista Científico en el ámbito del Departamento de Matemáticas de la Facultad de Ciencias Exactas (una de las dos primeras de este tipo en el país junto con una carrera similar en la UBA), con fuerte contenido matemático y orientada a incorporar la programación de aplicaciones sobre computadoras especialmente dentro del ámbito científico. La carrera tenía sólo dos asignaturas específicas y no se hablaba de Informática sino de Matemática Aplicada. A partir de allí la disciplina tuvo en la UNLP una marcada evolución basada en la actividad de docencia, investigación, transferencia, extensión y postgrado dando lugar, en el ámbito institucional, al Departamento de Informática y posteriormente en 1999 a la presente Facultad. En la actualidad, la Facultad dicta cuatro carreras de grado con más de 3000 alumnos activos y 400 docentes, y con más de 900 ingresantes y 150 egresados por año en promedio considerando los últimos cinco períodos lectivos. Acceso Abierto Anales jAUTI'17(2017) Ferraz de Abreu, Jorge; Abásolo, María José; Almeida, Pedro; Silva, TelmoWe welcome all participants of the 6th Ibero-American Conference on Usability and Interactive TV Applications - jAUTI’2017. This conference is a joint organization of the Social iTV group of the DigiMedia Research Unit of the Universidade de Aveiro and RedAUTI (Red temática en Aplicaciones y Usabilidad de la Television digital Interactiva). This year's edition (October 12 and 13, 2017 - Universidade de Aveiro, Portugal) brings together researchers from various universities and the industry to share their research work. This book collects a set of about two dozen papers, presented during the conference, in the fields of accessibility in Digital TV, Services and Design of User Interfaces for Digital and Interactive TV, as well as their Audiences, Contents and Technologies. In addition to the presentation of the scientific articles, the conference also has 2 Keynotes presentations: “Los dispositivos móviles, un complemento para la televisión. Caso prácticos” (by Angel García Crespo, from Universidade Carlos III of Madrid) and “Como será a TV do futuro” (by Tiago Silva Lopes, from Altice-MEO). Additionally, during the two days of the conference, there are demonstrations of the UltraTV and + TV4E projects. In a framework of new challenges for RedAUTI, the conference chairs recognize the importance of holding this event to strengthen an unrivaled Ibero-American network of researchers in the area of Digital and Interactive TV. Acceso Abierto Voice command adaptation for Jclic, for the special education context(Editorial de la Universidad de La Plata (EDULP), 2011) Moralejo, Lucrecia; Ostermann, Stefania; Sanz, Cecilia; Pesado, Patricia MabelIn this paper, the adaptation of an educational software application with voice commands for students with motor disability who have no speech impairments is proposed. As part of this process, some educational program and adaptive software applications were analyzed. Integration tests with several adaptive software applications studied with JClic were also carried out to analyze the assistance they can provide students with some type of motor disability in activity solving. Different voice recognition (VR) motors were studied, as well as their theoretical basis. The analysis of the VR motor Sphinx-4 was detailed, studying the design architecture and development of the selected educational tool, JClic. Finally, the development of a prototype with the adaptation of JClic was carried out, with the integration of Sphinx-4 to provide VR, in particular, for simple association activities. - Parte de libro

This belief is not, however, entirely correct. Today we have tools, such as meta-analysis, that we can use to aggregate small-scale experiments and output results that are equivalent to experiments run on large samples that are therefore reliable. The application of meta-analysis can overcome some of the obstacles that we come up against when running software engineering experiments (such as, for example, the practitioner availability problem). - Libro
Acceso Abierto Libro de jAUTI 2014(Universidad Nacional de La Plata, 2015) Abásolo, María José; Kulesza, RaoniEl III WORKSHOP DE TV DIGITAL INTERACTIVA (WTVDI) en conjunto con las jAUTI 2014 III Jornadas Iberoamericanas de difusión y capacitación sobre Aplicaciones y Usabilidad de la TVDI se realizaron durante Webmedia 2014 XX Simpósio Brasilero de Sistemas Multimedia y Web e ntre el 18 y 21 de noviembre de 2014 en la ciudad de João Pessoa (Paraíba, Brasil). El Workshop de TV Digital Interativa (WTVDI) tuvo su primera edición en 2005 en XVIII SIBGRAPI y su segunda edición en 2010 en XVI Webmedia. En esta última edición se realizó junto a jAUTI 2014, el tercer encuentro de investigadores latinoamericanos que formam a REDAUTI Red temática en Aplicaciones y Usabilidad de la Televisión digital Interactiva financiada por el PROGRAMA IBEROAMERICANO DE CIENCIA Y TECNOLOGÍA PARA EL DESARROLLO (CYTED), formada por 225 investigadores de 36 grupos (29 universidades y 7 empresas) de 12 países iberoamericanos. Este libro reúne los trabajos presentados por investigadores de la academia y de la industria en el desarrollo e implementación de tecnologías relacionadas a aplicaciones y usabilidad en TV Digital Interactiva.
