| dcterms.abstract | Este trabajo presenta resultados iniciales de la búsqueda de huellas de la artista bonaerense Elena Cid, figura destacada en la plástica rioplatense de fines de los años veinte del siglo XX, pero ensombrecida por la crítica y la historia del arte escrita con posterioridad y, por tanto, desconocida en el presente. El artículo busca revisar su figura y colaborar en su inscripción en la escena vanguardista rioplatense. Este se estructura en tres partes que intentan responder a los desafíos críticos en torno a cómo escribir sobre una artista invisibilizada y casi ausente en los archivos y acervos. La primera parte reconstruye su participación en el vanguardismo de fines de la década de 1920, la segunda se detiene en el análisis textual de dos artículos publicados sobre ella en 1929 (por Atalaya y Julio Rinaldini) y la última parte aborda dificultades para recomponer aspectos básicos de su biografía y trayectoria artística. A través de la tarea de relevamiento de fuentes documentales para contrarrestar su invisibilización, se comparten problemas teórico-metodológicos y aportes de las intervenciones feministas en la historia del arte. | es |
| dcterms.abstract | This essay presents initial search about the artist Elena Cid, a prominent figure in the Río de la Plata art scene of the late 1920s who was later overshadowed by art criticism and historiography, and is therefore largely unknown today. The article aims to re-examine her work and to support her inclusion within the Río de la Plata avant- garde. The essay is structured in three parts that attempt to address the difficulties of writing about an artist almost entirely absent from the archives. The first part reconstructs her participation in the avant-garde movements of the late 1920s, the second focuses on textual analysis of two articles published about her in 1929 (by Atalaya and Julio Rinaldini), and the last one addresses the challenges of piecing together basic aspects of her biography and artistic career. It also addresses theoretical and methodological issues, as well as the contributions of gender perspectives to art history. | en |
