En el año 2023 se reglamentó en Argentina la Ley 27.674 que establece la creación del régimen de protección integral del niño, niña y adolescente con cáncer que establece, en su artículo 3, el derecho de los pacientes pediátricos a recibir tratamiento del dolor y cuidados paliativos. De acuerdo con el Ministerio de Salud de la Nación Argentina (2020) los diagnósticos pediátricos que representan mayormente la necesidad de cuidados paliativos son el VIH/SIDA y malformaciones congénitas, seguidos de la prematuridad extrema, trauma de nacimiento y lesiones. En este trabajo se desarrolla la importancia del trabajo en Cuidados Paliativos Pediátricos desde el Psicoanálisis teniendo en cuenta los aportes que este marco permite brindar en los abordajes de los pacientes y de sus familias. Se trabajará en torno a una viñeta clínica de un paciente atendido en dos hospitales de la Provincia de Buenos Aires.

In 2023, Law 27674 was enacted in Argentina, establishing the Creation of the comprehensive protection regime for children and adolescents with cancer, which establishes in its article 3 the right of pediatric patients to receive pain treatment and palliative care. According to the Ministry of Health of the Argentine Nation (2020), the pediatric diagnoses that represent the greatest need for palliative care are HIV/AIDS and congenital malformations, followed by extreme prematurity, trauma and birth injuries. This paper develops the importance of psychotherapy in Pediatric Palliative Care from Psychoanalysis, taking into account the contributions that this framework allows to provide in the approaches of patients and their families. We will work around a clinical vignette of a patient and his family, treated in two hospitals in the Province of Buenos Aires.
